Accepted after major revision. It took nearly 3 months. It was submitted to Nature Communications (NC) but got rejected. They thought that our biological content was too little. Later, because the boss didn't want to add experiment, we decided to submit to Lab Chip. I personally feel that the level of reviewers is still very high, and they can focus on the problem. We are in a droplet microfluidic laboratory, and have published more than 10 articles in Lab Chip. Due to the excessive focus on the innovation of the production technology and production concepts of the device and the lack of biological applications, most of the articles in our laboratory can only be submitted to technical journals such as AC and Lab Chip. The boss always wanted to publish in a Nature sub-journal but never succeed.

A very good top journal in analytical chemistry, biological devices, microfluidics, biomedical engineering and other fields. I have been deeply involved in these fields for many years and has reviewed many manuscripts for this journal. Early review requires one word—new. After the revision and upgrade, the editorial team has also introduced more well-known professors in the field of materials. From the perspective of the journal's positioning, it focuses more on the importance and innovation. To be accepted, it requires innovation in devices and applications for the manuscripts. From this difference, we can see that the requirements become higher. This is good for the journal's long-term positioning.

The journal emphases innovation in terms of methods and concept. The actual application value is very low. It is important to emphasize that the new method has a good biological application. If the biological application is weak, it is best to select for its Technical Notes. Nanoflow is easier than microflow.

The current impact factor is higher than AC. You can try it in microflow. It is easier than AC, the content is new, the chip is more complicated, the pattern is more, and it is easier.

About 6 weeks.Reviewers do not seem to understand the material, they may be interested in devices and new nanoflow reactors.Although the impact factor is quite high, it is not difficult to select.
