It was my first submission. The manuscript was submitted in July, and a major revision was made during the period. There were a lot of problems, minor revision was required after the submission of the revision, and it was then accepted. During the period, it was the Chinese New Year and pandemic, of course it was also the delay for two months when I made major revision, all of these led to the delay of resubmission by the deadline. It took 8 months in total and the article was finally accepted. Being published online and in journal was also fast. Compared with some other top journals, the review speed is fast. However, urging it or not depends on yourself.

I have been in the industry for over ten years, and my dream is to publish an article in AR, as a top-tier in the international ornithology community, which is more cost-effective than the second and third-tier journals such as IBIS, AUK, and CONDOR. I hope I can get one published, and from then on, I will reach the peak of my life.

Comparisons afterwards are tests of non-research hypotheses. It is very common in actual research: I have completed the experiment, validated the hypothesis, but still need to extend the study, so I need to continue to explore the data to see which direction could lead to valuable conclusions. At this point, it is like conducting tests on all possible comparisons (even though I cannot possibly exhaust all comparisons, but because there is no specific purpose, all comparisons are potential). Because comparisons do not only refer to differences in the mean values of two treatments, linear combinations of multiple treatments are also comparisons
