Comparing afterwards is testing non-research hypotheses. It is very common in actual research: I have completed the experiment, confirmed the hypothesis, but still need to extend the research, so I need to continue exploring the data to see which direction will yield valuable conclusions. At this point, it is as if I am testing all possible comparisons (although I cannot actually exhaust all comparisons, but since there is no specific purpose, all comparisons are potential possibilities). Because comparison does not just refer to the difference in means of two treatments, linear combinations of multiple treatments are also comparisons
