It is indeed related to the magazine. I didn't believe it at first. Our research group submitted N papers and they were all rejected directly. Other research groups have done similar or even inferior work with less data, but because they are from big research groups, their papers are accepted and published!

There's nothing much to criticize. It's still necessary to organize the experimental ideas clearly and have a certain level of innovative ability to publish in this journal, which shouldn't be a problem. Personally, I think it's better than AN. I had previously submitted this article to five or six journals and got rejected, with AN taking the longest, rejecting it after almost half a year. After spending more than three months reorganizing the ideas and conducting additional experiments, my supervisor suggested submitting to Redox Biology. However, it was rejected after review, proving that high-quality articles are indeed difficult to publish. After a few months of reformatting and resubmitting to JASB, it was quickly sent for review. After two months, I received the reviewer's comments, which mainly focused on formatting issues and lack of rigor in the materials and methods description. After making the necessary revisions, it took about three weeks to receive the second-round review comments. After addressing a few minor issues, the article was accepted about three weeks after resubmission.

I don't know why, but it seems that regular research groups just can't get accepted, and they don't even go through the peer review process. I hope the magazine can become more fair and give each of us a chance. If possible, please consider sending it for review, even if it gets rejected, I would be willing to accept it.
