It has been almost a year and a half since I submitted, and all the innovative points have become out of date. Finally, after adding a reviewer, my submission was rejected. After submitting for half a year, I was given revision suggestions. I thought the issues were not major after revision, but four or five months later, they told me that they had invited a new reviewer who said the article was not acceptable, and it was ultimately rejected. I sent reminder emails at every stage. Once they replied and said the journal was facing financial difficulties and had to lay off staff. Then, I received another email explaining that the previous email was sent to me by mistake. It is very frustrating and makes me wonder if the editors of this journal have been kidnapped as I try to figure out a way to report this
