I am anxious for articles, listening to friends around me saying that Atmospheric Research is relatively fast. So I immediately submitted the article to Atmospheric Research. The article was submitted on April 10, and I forget when the status changed to under review. During the period, the date changed once, but it was still under review. It has been 4 months now. In desperation, I found (the contact information of) the editor-in-chief and sent an email inquiry. The editor-in-chief said that the comments of one reviewer has been returned, but not enough reviewers were found, and he was still looking for the reviewers. I forget when the status changed to with editor again, and then, the status changed to under review. The (status of) under review has lasted nearly one month. It was my first submission, but I have waited so long. I couldn’t help commenting on the Internet. Atmospheric Research is a good journal, but I am really sad this time.

The manuscript was submitted during the epidemic period. I submitted an article to this journal in early April, which was requested by my supervisor. I personally felt that it was a loss for the article to this journal. Two reviewers’ comments returned within 20 days and it was rejected. The first reviewer eloquently gave 10 opinions, mainly saying that the article was not innovative, and the conclusion was basically the same as the previous article, but he did not state which article it was. I found that the reviewer did not understand my article. What I did was to evaluate the uncertainty. He thought I was doing the uncertainty of satellite observations. The second reviewer was certainly not in my field, and made the most basic mistake in his only opinion. Later, it was transferred to the industry's top journal - JHM, and it is still under review.
