Atmos. Environ. is a middle to top journal in the field, and has published papers in the discipline since 1967. The IF has declined in recent years. In the past five years, many of my colleagues, peers and students have contributed a lot of articles to this journal, and I have also reviewed several submissions. The review time given by the editorial department is very strict, and only allows for a few delays by the reviewer. Whether the decision is a rejection or a revision, the decision will be sent to the author within a set time; the current editor is very responsible and professional. I submitted an article to Atmos. Environ. in early October last year. Unfortunately, it was directly rejected after 3 days without a review. The reason for rejection was that there was no new concept or idea presented in the manuscript. Recently, many of my colleagues have reported that they were rejected by the journal as well. Overall, I feel that the editorial review is stricter than years ago.
