After nearly 4 months, the rejection was informed. Until then I found that it was not sent for external review at all. It was just a backlog on the editor's side for 4 months, and the editor decided to reject it. If there were comments from the editor after a long-time wait, I didn’t care if it was rejected. I could refer to (the comments given) and made further revisions to improve the level of the article. But the article was not dealt with for 4 months. How could it be under review? It was the most speechless situation.

This journal is really slow. It has been six months after submitting, and two rounds of reviewers were found. Finally, the comments returned requiring two minor revisions, and another comment from a reviewer who was not in the same field was that it cannot be accepted for publication at its present form. The editor's final opinion was to decline the manuscript with encouragement to resubmit... I'm still struggling whether to resubmit, and I suggest those who are anxious to graduate not to submit. It's really slow!

The article submitted to IJOG last year was accepted soon. The second article took 8 months, and went through two rounds of major revisions. I pretended to graduate successfully with this article, but it was delayed half a year, which I can not afford. The following is a detailed description of the article submission cycle, for your information. Thea article was submitted on March 17 2019; The comments came back on June 14 2019, there were three reviewers, one direct acceptance, one minor revision and one suggestion of rejection. The editor advised making major revision; It was resubmitted on July 8 2019. The quality of the article was really improved after the first round of revision. After a long summer vacation of two and a half months, the comments came back on September 25 2019, the reviewer who rejected the article in the first round raised a lot of comments again, and still suggested rejecting it (what the hell. people’s prejudices are a mountain, no matter how hard you try, you can’t move it), and the editor advised making major revision. It was resubmitted on October 15 2019. After two rounds of revision, I felt I was back to the original point. I am a little desperate. The replies to the comments of the reviewers were written about 8,000 words. However, the editor didn’t reject it, and the article is still promising. The article was prejudiced by first impressions without understanding it by the reviewers who was fond of finding faults. It was accepted on November 18 2019, and I cried with joy. It was really a very good journal in geotechnical mechanics. The first article was accepted in 3 months, and I am proud of it. This second one so bad that I was devastated. And now IJOG basically takes about 6 months from receipt to publication. And now International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics basically takes about 6 months from acceptance to publication. Because of this, my junior apprentice’s national award went up in smoke. The efficiency of ASCE is getting lower and lower.
