A very good journal in the field of phylogenetics. The annual publication volume and research scope are narrow, so the impact factor is not high. It is open access and completely free, but the review process is very slow, often taking more than six months unless you are very lucky. A high level of comprehensiveness in work and solid expertise in phylogenetic analysis are required. There are usually two reviewers, but there are also cases with seven or eight. Be cautious if you are in a hurry to publish
