May be I am just overly confident. I feel that I have discovered a very new pathway, so I had high expectations for my manuscript. But I still feel that this journal is very unfriendly. The reason for rejecting the manuscript was not explained. After my submission, I was told that the methods section should not be a direct quote. After I rewrote the methods, I was told that even if I cited the previous studies I still shouldn’t use direct quote. I had to write a simple paragraph to cite them.
