This paper is our new interdisciplinary study. We had tried several geosciences journals but were always rejected because the topic is out of the scope of the journal. This journal accepted it and the speed of review was very fast. The first review took two months and requested major revision. After we submitted the revision, the paper was accepted the next day. The editor-in-chief also specifically mentioned in an email that the journal is working on speeding up the review process, and I think they have done well.

The article was rejected in the second review, so a new reviewer was found for the second review. Some questions were given (quoting their literature, comparing new methods), but the editor still rejected the submission. The main reason was that the two experts in the first review were simply modifying the article line by line.
