The official journal of the Korean Cancer Society is equivalent to a publication of the Chinese Medical Association. The journal focused on clinical aspect and I wanted to publish an article in the translational research aspect. So, the reviewers were relatively friendly and not too harsh in the peer review process. The level of this journal was considered to be very stable among cancer journals, whose impact factor will not be lower than 3–4 and may rise steadily. After it was accepted, the fee was approximately 750 US dollars, which is a price of conscience for open access journals. Generally speaking, there must be a reply within 2 months of review, except for areas that are very obscure. It is not recommended if you want to publish a manuscript of low quality.
