The manuscript submitted in early October 2023 received feedback two months later, with two major revisions required. One reviewer provided 4 relatively positive comments, while the other reviewer had more, with 10 comments, though not overly difficult to address. Despite this, the editor-in-chief decided to reject the manuscript for resubmission (which was somewhat puzzling, as a major revision could have been requested instead). After spending a month making revisions, the manuscript was resubmitted three months later. Two months later, feedback on the revisions was received from a total of three reviewers (including a new reviewer), with the original two reviewers agreeing to accept the manuscript. The new reviewer provided 8 comments, necessitating a major revision. After spending half a month making revisions, the manuscript was resubmitted for further review one month later. It took over 3 months to receive a response (unexpectedly, one of the reviewers refused to review the manuscript again), prompting the selection of a new reviewer who provided 5 comments, requiring minor revisions. After a week of revisions, the manuscript was resubmitted again. Finally, after about a week, the manuscript was accepted. In total, it took 13 months from submission to acceptance, with a rather convoluted process. However, overall, the editor-in-chief of the journal was responsible, and the reviewers' comments were professional.

The editor of this journal is not very nice. Our research group submitted two papers to this journal and they are both under review. However, both papers received major revisions from the reviewers, but the editor rejected them directly and did not allow resubmission. What's more frustrating is that the reviewers' feedback was actually quite positive and the suggested revisions were manageable, with only about 10 comments per paper. There were no major issues pointed out. It seems that the decision to accept or reject the papers was solely based on the editor's mood.

After two major revisions, with 3 reviewers, the opinions of Reviewer 1 and Reviewer 2 in the first round were quite different. After the first revision, the manuscript was satisfactorily reviewed by Reviewer 2 and Reviewer 3, but Reviewer 1 requested a reject. The editor requested another revision, but in the second round Reviewer 1 still requested a reject. Finally, the manuscript was rejected, taking 17 months in total

End of November 2022: Reject and resubmit, with 6 months for revisions (equivalent to major revisions, response required from two reviewers)
Early May 2023: Resubmission
Mid-September 2023: Reject (decision based on third reviewer's opinion, without feedback from first two reviewers)

This journal is a bit tricky, first they gave a reject and resubmit with major revisions, then they got new reviewers who rejected it again, wasting a year of my time. The review process takes about four months each time, not too fast but not too slow either; both times it took over a month for the paper to enter review status after submission, and it only changed after reminders were sent

Received first review comments on April 13, 2022, with only one reviewer providing major revisions, but the comments were very constructive.

Received second review comments on July 9, 2022, with minor revisions.

Personal experience has shown that as long as one round of external review is required, it will take three months of waiting time. If there are two rounds of revisions and three rounds of external review, it will take a year from submission to acceptance. In terms of ABS1 journals, this speed is not considered fast.

The editor reviewed it first, provided revision suggestions, and then submitted it for external review. After 6 months of external review, it was returned and took 1 month to complete the revisions. The second review took 3 and a half months, and then it was accepted. The reviewer's comments were relatively mild but still professional.

Submission in December 2020, feedback received after 3 months for the first review, major revisions were suggested by the editor. The editor allowed 2 months for the revisions. Due to being busy with graduation defense, an extension of one month was requested from the editor. Revised manuscript was returned on June 1st for further modifications. Feedback for the second review was received in mid-August. One reviewer accepted the manuscript while another suggested minor revisions. The revised manuscript was returned after 1 and a half months. Acceptance was received in early October. The difficulty of submitting to this journal is not high, but it has a good reputation. The editor has chosen responsible reviewers who provide professional suggestions. As long as the revisions are made seriously, there is still a great chance of acceptance.
