Summary: Undoubtedly the top journal in the field of haptics, the issue lies in the strict peer review process and lack of open access (can pay for open access). Additionally, due to the limited number of reviewers, the review process is very slow. My paper was effectively withdrawn and resubmitted, with the same three reviewers specified, but it still took five months from submission to acceptance. However, the IEEE World Haptics and IEEE Haptics Symposium events held annually have a short paper track for this journal, and the review process may be faster due to deadlines. In short, it is still hoped that more researchers in China can focus on haptics

Hello, I would like to ask what type should be selected when submitting a regular review paper to this journal. I only see an option for Survey-Tutorial paper.

A review on the haptic feedback field was written.

Submitted on June 25, 2021.

First major revision on October 6, 2021. Three reviewers, one rejection, one major revision, and one minor revision. The reviewers were very meticulous and gave a lot of feedback.

Second major revision on February 2, 2022. Two reviewers, both gave major revisions with very detailed feedback.

Third major revision on April 14, 2022. Two reviewers, one had no comments and accepted the paper, while the other gave major revisions, mostly regarding formatting and language issues.

Minor revision on April 24, 2022. One reviewer pointed out a language problem.

Final acceptance on April 25, 2022.

It took almost a year in total to revise the paper. The article was rushed and had many issues in the initial stages, almost leading to rejection. Fortunately, after gradual modifications, it was eventually accepted.
