The initial review took slightly over one month, major revision. We added new experiments because it is important to have comprehensive experiments. Resubmitted, and the reviews came back in about one month, minor revision. It went faster afterwards. Accepted after 4 weeks. I Feel novelty and comprehensiveness are important.

The review speed, editorial speed, and decision speed are all very fast. There were two reviewers, and we were given three months to supplement experiments. The review comments were quite constructive. In the first round of review, an expert in clinical trials raised some opinions related to sample size, confounding factors, and detection bias. Although both the official website manual and the submission system only allow for one corresponding author to be listed, as long as it is clearly stated in the manuscript that there are two corresponding authors, they can both be acknowledged when the paper is eventually published.
