I submitted a case report. The reviewer gave helpful comments, and also gave advice on fixing the not-so-rigorous places in the paper. Now that case reports are difficult to be published, I feel this journal is worth a try.

Submitted a meta-analysis, revised twice, reviewed 4 times, with many sharp and pointed issues identified. After carefully addressing each one and making revisions, it was finally accepted. It was a bit slow, but the review process was very rigorous. I feel that I have also improved after making the revisions.

It's really a trap. I don't advise graduating students to invest in it... I waited for external review to start since December 20th, and I kept waiting until April.
