According to my own experience, this journal is not that difficult, and the review is quite fast. I submitted a paper last year, initial review took about a month, and then I revised the paper according to the comments. It took about half a year from submission till actual publication in the journal. Unlike the Chinese version of Acta Metallurgica Sinica, which requires all papers to be related to material behaviors, this English version also considers papers working on simulations.
