Just got an article published online, and here’s how I feel about the process: 1. The journal focuses on bioinformatics analysis. In other words, a variety of omics based on epigenetics (DNA methylation, histone modification, non-coding RNA, chromatin structure, etc.), which can be combined with transcriptomics and genomics. For wet experiments, a small number of experiments with morphological, flow cytometry and qPCR verification would be sufficient, and functional verification experiments are not required. 2. The journal provides an accelerated review service based on the number of published pages (no charge if the article is not accepted), and the process from submission, review, revision, proofreading, and online can be completed in six weeks (my own experience, five and a half weeks from submission to online; if we hadn’t found so many problems during proofreading, it would have been online in five weeks). If your time is tight, try it.
