Originally it was submitted to Journal of Water Process Engineering, but we received a rejection letter the next day, saying that they don’t accept this type of article. Because I cited a reference in this journal, so I tried to submit it here. Overall, the review speed is very fast. Three reviewers, the first one had 8 comments, the second 6 and the third 5. We did not conduct the thermodynamics analysis. The first two reviewers required that thermodynamics analysis should be added. The third one let us discuss the adsorption mechanism, his other comments were all about minor issues, and he also asked us to cite a few of their articles. Then we supplemented the references, cited the references, and when it met the requirements, there was basically no more problem. I feel that the journal does not require high innovation for the articles, and in my direction, it is difficult to innovate. It will be ok if the experiment is reasonable and the process data is complete. Anyway, I hopefully can graduate, and I hope that WST will be better and better.

Time line of my  second re-submission: (should have been done in less than two weeks, and got delayed by other things happening at the end of the semester): 30 Dec 2017: Re-submission; 17 Jan 2018: Re-submission again (again saying that the other authors' mailboxes were not submitted to the system); 29 Jan 2018: With editor; 31 Jan 2018: Under review; 02 Feb 2018: Under review; 20 Feb 2018: Under review; 17 Mar 2018: Review comments completed; 19 Mar 2018: During decision; 19 Mar 2018: I received the editorial decision, minor revision (two reviewers, one gave 8 comments, the other gave one comment); 22 Mar 2018: Revised paper submitted; 05 Apr 2018: Accepted (third paper during my master degree study, finally accepted). Overall I feel the journal doesn’t require so much in novelty, but the research should be solid and rigorous, English should be decent, and comments should be addressed sincerely and thoroughly. With the right attitude and good effort, acceptance is not difficult. I want to emphasize that all authors' mailboxes must be correct, because an email with the verification link will be sent to each person's mailbox before the final acceptance, and the verification must be done before any further steps can be started.

Maggie is disgusting. It has been almost five months since she submitted her paper and finally went through two rounds of revisions. Very trashy, could be a graduation option. No APC, average processing time. The editorial academic literacy is low. One student submitted a paper to this journal, but it was rejected after three rounds of review due to four unreasonable questions raised by a new reviewer.
