The reviewers were very professional and attentive, and the editor was very nice. Vibrational Spectroscopy is definitely an underestimated journal. Originally, I firstly submitted the manuscript to Journal of Molecular Liquids, because I was a man of no ability, the questions were not replied well and the manuscript was rejected. The editor suggested transferring to Vibrational Spectroscopy, and it took 4 months before acceptance (during the period, it was myself that it was delayed for more than one month). There went the initial manuscript, the first revied manuscript and the second revised manuscript. The deadline for each revision was 60 days, which was enough. The reviewer’s comments have indeed helped improving the level of the article to a higher one. Thanks to the reviewers and the editor. It is my third SCI article, come on!

This journal has high standards for publication. if you are asked to revise the paper, there will usually be many, many difficult-to-answer comments. The comments could be even longer than the article, so addressing the comments is more difficult than writing a paper. Generally you will need to go through many rounds of revision.
