Reviewed 2021-12-30 22:23:14 Research Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of social media on teenagers' mental health. Research Process: A survey was conducted among 500 teenagers aged 13-18 to collect data on their social media usage and mental well-being. Statistical analysis was then performed on the data to identify any correlations. Findings: The results showed that teenagers who spent more than 3 hours a day on social media were more likely to experience symptoms of anxiety and depression compared to those who spent less time online. Discussion: The findings of this study are consistent with previous research that has linked excessive social media use to negative mental health outcomes. For example, a study conducted by Smith et al. (2019) found a similar association between social media use and depressive symptoms in adolescents. Contribution and Significance: This study contributes to the growing body of literature on the impact of social media on mental health. By highlighting the potential risks associated with excessive social media use, it can inform interventions and policies aimed at promoting healthier online behaviors among teenagers. Next Steps: Future research should focus on exploring the underlying mechanisms that drive the relationship between social media use and mental health outcomes. Additionally, longitudinal studies can help determine the long-term effects of social media on teenagers' well-being ![]() ![]() |

Reviewed 2021-12-30 08:47:45 Contrary to the structure of Introduction and Discussion sections, the writing in the discussion section follows an inverted funnel shape, gradually expanding from specific to general. By starting with the justification of each research finding, abnormalities, and underlying principles, a thorough analysis is conducted. After laying the groundwork, the main conclusions of the paper can be naturally introduced for discussion, followed by a broader analysis pointing out the importance/significance/generalizability/application value of the study ![]() ![]() |
