The second review comments were on the revision of language, and I feel that the requirements for the language were not low. My manuscript was rejected. After being sad, I will share the timeline for others to refer to. Anyway, I liked to read this most after I submitted a paper. 08.12 submitted, 08.14 with editor, 08.28 under review. 09.06–09.11, date changed but the status was still “under review”. On September 24, it became pending editor decision. On September 27, the manuscript was rejected. Two of the three reviewers were relatively positive, whose problems were few and simple. However, a reviewer with a very negative attitude asked two questions directing at the soul. Then it went to gg. I did pure pharmacology, no toxicology, and it was sent for review. The overall speed was actually quite fast and what the reviewer said did make sense. It was me who didn't make comprehensive consideration.

The submission was made close to Chinese New Year, around the end of February. The first review was rushed and returned at the end of May, with a month given for revisions. The revised manuscript was resubmitted in early June and went through 3-4 rounds of revisions. Finally, it was rejected in mid-September after dragging on for a long time. After arguing for a resubmission, there was no progress for almost another month.
