I felt that it was not too difficult. It took about 2 months to receive the review comments. If your paper can be published in Rock and Soil Mechanics and Chinese Journal of Geotechnical Engineering in China, I feel that they can certainly be published here. There are lots of requirements for the format of the submission. You’d best follow the guidelines. Submitted on October 28, 2018. Status changed on December 30, 2018. I asked the editorial office and it turned out to be sent for review of 2 rounds on March 4, 2019. A minor revision was required in the review comments, which was in Russian. Accepted in mid-April 19, and polished by the recommended company. Agreement and finalized version submitted.

2017.10.25 contributed article, 2018.1.12 received review comments 2018.2.8 submitted revised draft (after professional organization touch-up). 2018.3, 14 received acceptance notice and proceeded. Overall, it’s a pretty good process, the editor has patience, and the replies are timely.

The formatting requirements are very strict, every space or punctuation mark needs to be carefully checked, and the word count is particularly low, leading to the removal of a lot of content. The editor was quite helpful, pointing out any issues with the reference format.
