It is a good journal in earthquake engineering. It took around three months for the first review, and then it was revised back and forth twice. It took about half a year from submission to acceptance.

I don’t know why the journal is so slow. After submission, my article was kept by the editor for 3 months, and the whole 3 months he ignored it. Submitted in February, only submitted for review in May.  The reviewer returned to it after more than two months. In early August, the article became ready for decision. At the end of August, the decision was pending, and at the end of September, the result was rejected. What is even more exasperating is that one reviewer gives comments and another rejects the manuscript, and the reviewer who rejects the manuscript only says that the article has a problem, and does not mention where the article is wrong. I recommended that authors who submit be cautious. The current speed of handling manuscripts is really slow, and my article was delayed for a total of seven months. The reviewer reviewed it for more than two months, and it has been waiting for further comments for nearly five months.

It took about four months in total. We invited six reviewers, two of whom accepted. After the major revisions were completed, the paper was quickly accepted and published. The efficiency is similar to that of domestic EI journals, and the difficulty is basically on par with the top three geotechnical journals.
