2 weeks after submitting, I received 6 questions but very professional, very serious, and generally about innovation. Rejected, re-edited in overhaul. Reviewer noted that the negative structural representation was not clear and publication was not recommended in its current form. The second reviewer recommended submitting to RSC Advance. Supplementary experiments (structural characterization) were suggested to resubmit to PC, or select for Soft Matter. The paper was submitted to PC. Three weeks later, I was asked for two minor revisions, and the journal received the revised draft the next day.

Submitted in early June, received feedback after a month. Two editors reviewed the manuscript, one accepted it after minor revisions, while the other rejected it outright. The boss successfully appealed and made modifications based on the previous comments. The manuscript was resubmitted and after another month, it received acceptance from all three reviewers after modifications were made. A few additional experiments were added and then the revised manuscript was returned. It was accepted five days later. Special thanks to Amy Shen, the editor from Japan, for her speedy handling of the manuscript. I also hope that Soft Matter continues to improve.
