I have found this journal to be difficult to deal with. The reviewing is slow and when the letter accompanying the manuscript is sent out, it is generally ignored, although the journal is still strong in the field of smart materials. The impact factor is also okay, but since the number of papers in each issue is small, contributing to the journal is not recommended if you need to get results quickly. It took more than 6 months for the first review, which was sent to 3 reviewers. Later, it seemed as though only one person sent the comments, and then sent what they had written to the other two reviewers. Finally, I was told there was a major revision needed. After the revision, my paper was immediately accepted. The proofing remains a problem and their speed is too slow. I am currently engaged in sending a letter asking about the proofs!

The editor is extremely irresponsible, with no updates for three months. When asked about the manuscript, they replied that they couldn't find it and requested a resubmission. What were they doing all this time? I have never seen such an irresponsible journal. I suggest not submitting to any journals from this company. It's common for it to take six months to a year.

It took 1.5 years to review, by that time the paper lost novelty. And they didn't give a chance to update the paper as it took so long. In 1.5 years the research can progress a lot, so a chance should be given for revision. It got rejected. They don't understand how much harm they are doing especially to students who have very limited time to publish a paper.
