This journal is really slow. I’ve been waiting for eleven months. Reviewers can be recommended, though. The journal has been around a long time, maybe over a  hundred years, and was formerly known as "Separation Science". In 1970, the name was changed to "Separation Science and Technology". The article base is very large, so the influence factor is not as high as with many new journals. It’s possible it might rise to 2.0 in the future, but with difficulty.
