It’s my first formal article; the submission process was quite bumpy. The article focused on material; it was first submitted to Carbon. It was rejected in a few days without sending for review. Then, it was submitted to Nanoscale. It was also rejected by the editor directly. Then, it was submitted to Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology, and it was finally sent for review. I was a little bit happy. The result came out in more than a month, it was rejected, and there were a few revision comments. I later revised the manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments, and then submitted it to Sensors and Actuators B. A few days later, the editor said it did not meet the scope of their journal and asked me to transfer it to Sensors and Actuators A. After two months, it was finally accepted. The following is some time nodes, for your information: With editor 5.21; Reviewer invited 5.22; Under review 5.27; Revision requested 6.20; Resubmit the paper 7.1; Under review 7.9; Accepted 7.19.

The article was submitted on June 8. August 1 was the first review and August 20 the editor gave the review opinion – overhaul. The deadline was 4 weeks. On September 14  the draft revision was submitted and the review came back on September 30. The reviewer agreed to the revisions and proposed to publish it. I feel that the editor is very responsible and the response speed was fast. There were two reviewers the first time. One of them paid great attention to the facility of English language expression. Questions about the content of the article were also very pertinent.

After the rejection of the first review of Measurement, it was resubmitted to SNA on November 8th, and it has been with the editor for over two weeks now. The status has not changed despite the change in the timeline. The journal's website shows that the average time for the first decision is 9 days, so I didn't expect it to be this slow. If I had known earlier, I would have resubmitted it to IEEE Sensors or MST. SNA is ultimately just a third-tier journal, so I suggest that if you are in a hurry, submit to IEEE Sensors, which is at least a second-tier journal, or MST.
