Submitted on November 29, 2023, received revision comments on December 2, 2023, resubmitted on December 13, reviewed by experts on December 16, received a major revision notice on January 6, 2024, required to return by January 27 for a complete overhaul, added a lot of content, worked on it intensively, submitted on January 25, 2024, and the article was accepted on February 11, 2024. Received the news on the second day of the Spring Festival holiday, very excited, thought there might be a minor revision, did not expect to be accepted directly. Happy New Year to everyone

I wrote a clinical case analysis on deep brain stimulation for mesial temporal lobe epilepsy. It was submitted on October 5, 2015, and the first review was completed on November 25, requiring major revisions. The revised manuscript was submitted on December 9. The second review was completed on January 23, 2016, requiring minor revisions. The revised manuscript was submitted on the morning of January 29 and accepted later that afternoon. The article was published online on February 10. There was one major revision and one minor revision. It took 50 days from submission to the first major revision, 45 days from the major revision to minor revisions, and the manuscript was accepted the same day as the minor revisions. It took 40 days from acceptance to online publication. There was no language editing requested, and no page charges, though charges applied for color illustrations. My personal experience was that the peer-review process was fast if the manuscript met the journal's requirements, but the reviewers were very rigorous. I had to provide the patients' MRI and EEG data for my case analysis.
