2019.12.4 Submission; 2019.12.24 Editor pre-review, letting us compare with the latest method. It seems the result of editor pre-review is the same response for most people who submitted to this journal. I added the time and the name of the meeting for the methods in the comparisons in the first version, such as CVPR2019. 2019.12.27 Revision for the pre-review was submitted. 2020.3.1 The first review ended with minor revision required. There were three reviewers, but with no substantive opinions, only including issues such as citing more references, the diagram being not clear enough, and more details to be explained, etc. So basically there was no modification. 2020.3.8 Revision for the first review was submitted. 2020.5.18 Accepted. I feel that in my situation, there should be results within half a month. But we waited for more than two months. It may because of the epidemic, but I also blamed myself for being too lazy to remind them... The point is that although the minor revision was sent for review, we did not get any comments from the reviewers. I submitted two papers relating to machine learning to this journal this year. Paper 1: Submitted in early January, rejected on March 1 (The opinions of 2 reviewers returned. Reviewer 1 had no substantive suggestions. Reviewer 2 made very detailed comments, and rejected the manuscript because he/she questioned that the concepts of classification and clustering were not clear in the article). After modifying this manuscript, I transferred it to another journal and it was accepted already. Paper 2: It was submitted on June 5 and the initial review comments returned on August 1. Major revisions were required and there were 3 reviewers. Except for reviewer 2 who recommended acceptance directly, the other two reviewers made very detailed comments, approximately 10 each. The revised manuscript was submitted on August 22. The comments of second review were received on September 14. It would be accepted after minor revisions. In addition to the last three reviewers, two newly added reviewers had few comments. The revised manuscript was submitted on September 16. The decision to acceptance was received by email on September 25. Based on the two experiences, the turnaround time for initial review of the journal was approximately 2 months. The review speed was fast, especially for the second and third reviews. The editor was very responsible. There were also quite a lot of reviewers (5 in total). Speed was very fast. What a conscience journal!
