One article of mine got accepted before around 2019. I submitted it at the end of May and it was accepted at the end of September. It was quite fast at that time. I actually was so happy that this journal might be reformed and the review speed was accelerated. Later, I submitted another article, which was submitted at the end of October 2019; it had been with editor for several months until March 2020. However, the editor rejected the manuscript after the plagiarism checking. What? We waited for four months and you only checked the similarity! We resubmitted it after reducing the similarity score. This time it was better. After three months, the review comments returned and the reviewer rejected it. After the revision, the boss did not give up, and then submitted it to this journal again. It was submitted in mid-August, and it is still with editor. It is estimated that it will take two or three more months. My junior fellow apprentice has an article which was submitted in July this year, and it is still with editor. In short, this journal is very slow. Those who are anxious to graduate should not submit to this journal. Basically, you should prepare to wait for half a year with editor after submission. However, the review comments can usually be returned within two months after it was sent for review, but this state for with editor is really speechless. Generally speaking, from submission to acceptance, if it goes well, it will take 8 to 12 months in this journal.

Here is the data and time for the whole procedure: Received at Editorial Office: 11 May 2019; Article revised: 18 Dec 2019; Article accepted for publication: 3 Jan 2020. The manuscripts were returned to revise for three times. There were 5 reviewers. Major revision was requested for the first time, minor revision was requested by a reviewer for the second time and still this reviewer requested minor revision for the pressure value. It took almost 8 months back and forth. It was okay in the editor's hands. The article was sent for review within 4 days after first submission, and the subsequent revised article was less than 4 days in his hands. It took about 5 months for the first review, about 3 weeks for the second review, and about 10 days each for the third and fourth review. Research Direction: Application of continuous hydrothermal method in microalgae energy.
