I submitted an article about Earthquake last year, but it was directly rejected, saying that they did not accept articles in this direction, and we transferred it to another journal. I don’t know what it is going on this year for the journals about earthquakes or earth sciences. I still want to submit to a journal in the field of seismology this year, and then there would be no more journals to submit to.

After submitted in April, it hadn't been sent for external review. I had been waiting until on August 19 it was sent for review. Later, it continued to be reviewed for more than 6 months without returning any comments. After sending an email reminder, the editor-in-chief said that the managing editor would answer us, but the email sent to the editor was totally ignored. Super, super, super slow. This is the Pure Pure Journal now, submitted in November 2023, and still showing "with editor" as of October 29, 2024. I have no idea what the specific situation is. I have sent a total of 6 emails, and only received 1 reply saying to urge for faster progress. Last week, I couldn't wait any longer, so I sent an email to withdraw the submission. There has been no response yet, but it shows as "read" (if it wasn't a major editorial department, I would have directly scolded them, causing a lot of delays). I advise those who are about to graduate and are currently submitting to this journal to reconsider. Even if you want to withdraw your submission, it will be a problem, as the editors are unresponsive.

This journal is really outrageous and abstract. I submitted it at the end of July last year, and now it's mid-February. It's been almost 7 months, and the latest update is still in peer review. The first reviewer's comments were replied to in September, but they still haven't been able to find the second reviewer for half a year. Although whether this article gets accepted or not doesn't matter much to me, this is a bit too much.

I have encountered a situation where my submission has not been accepted for almost two months. It has been continuously displayed as "waiting for assigned editor" and finally, I had to send an email to withdraw the submission. I can't wait any longer. This year, I submitted another article which was assigned an editor for external review within ten days, but the "under review" status has changed multiple times. The review process of this journal is too slow. Judging from its previous articles, external review might take around half a year.
