First review took 3 months. It was so slow that you might doubt your life. Usually it is a blind review by multiple experts, and the suggestions made are very sharp. All the data should be re-analyzed. If some analysis can be performed in both methods A and B, if you use method A, the expert will let you re-analyze using method B. They embarrassed the authors to the extreme. Another article of my friend took 8 months from submission to acceptance.
