The top conference journal in combustion science, on par with or even higher than CNF, is quite difficult, and of course, there is a circle/community as well. The new classification by the Chinese Academy of Sciences has finally placed it in the top tier. If applying for a young fund in the field of combustion, having a paper published in PCI would be much better.
