Because it was during the Christmas holidays, I didn’t expect that the responsible editor replied in time; 2019.01.02 Under review; 2019.01.19 Still under review, time was changed; 2019.02.07 The editors of the journal re-invited the reviewers. I didn’t know the reason. I guessed it maybe that one of the reviewers did not response to the comments within the specified time, or the opinions of the two reviewers were inconsistent. 2019.02.08 The status returned to under review. It only took 1 day to invite reviewers; 2019.02.26 Still under review, the time was changed again to now. I am counting on this article can catch up with the graduation in June, but maybe there’s no hope, and I don't dare to hasten by email. The information queried on MedSci and Xiaomuchong said that the review speed is fast, and the results are usually published in one month. Maybe it depends on editors and reviewers. Keep waiting…

This journal is very fast. Generally, the external review begins one week later. My two submissions were completed in 2 weeks. The total time is no more than 4 weeks. The journal requirements are not very high.

The overall submission process went smoothly, but because my work had not been finalized yet, it caused some delay. Otherwise, the acceptance might have come sooner. The editor was very responsible and appreciated our submission, even though the reviewers had made nearly 40 comments, they only required minor revisions. Grateful for that! Because of this, the editor was contacted by the editorial department, saying it did not meet the magazine's standards. In order to not disappoint the editor's appreciation, we quickly made the revisions. After the second round of review, there were some minor issues that were quickly fixed, but we still waited until the deadline to resubmit. After waiting for a week, possibly due to the editor's vacation, the article was accepted.

Friends, be sure to write the first draft carefully so as to greatly reduce the follow-up time. Submitted on February 13th, the journal began processing on the 15th. In early March, I received a minor revision notice, with the reviewers praising my work. After submitting the revised manuscript in 5 days, I expected a quick acceptance. However, it coincided with the graduate school interview, so the reviewers took 15 days to complete the review and the editors took another 15 days to confirm acceptance.
