My direction was about battery, and it is an interdisciplinary research, with no experiments. Submitted in September, major revision and resubmission were required at the beginning of October, revision resubmitted at the end of November, and accepted on December 4. We selected the double-blind review. Two reviewers were quite responsible, although it seemed that they do not particularly understand the direction of mine). We added references during the major revision, and supplemented some contents, which successfully persuaded the reviewers. The reviewers gave a lot of comments, and they were quite reliable. I focus on biochemical interface molecular dynamics. I intended publish a paper in the Chinese core journals to graduate casually. But my boss insisted that I submit to a high-level journal, and finally we decided to submit to PCCP. Jan. 14, submission; Jan. 29, first review comments received. One required major revision, and another one required minor revision. I did not reply as it was Spring Festival in China. Then after I got back to school, I spent a month to respond to the comments. Mar. 24, revised submission. Apr. 4, comments received, requiring a minor revision with only one questions. Apr. 5, resubmitted. Then accepted on Apr. 8. This is my only one footprint in academia as a study slacker -.-

Thank you very much to my boss for your patient guidance and help me revise the paper! It was firstly submitted to The Journal of Physical Chemistry C, the editor rejected it directly. Boss resubmitted it to Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics (PCCP) (I liked the layout of PCCP very much when I was reading the literature before entering the group. I liked this journal and I didn't expect it can be published on it). It was submitted in December, the comments from editors returned within a month, the first reviewer suggested minor revision, and the second one suggested major revision. The editor decided to ask me to make a revision; I resubmitted it after revising and supplemented an SI. The news of the official acceptance came in less than a month. Thanks again to my boss, for letting me, a stubborn student, whose name can be appeared in SCI. I didn’t expect my first paper can be published on such a good journal.

Unfortunately, the impact factor of PCCP is declining. This is the general trend for basic disciplines in recent years. The IFs of journals like JPCB Langmuir JCP are falling year by year. However, this does not affect PCCP's position and influence as the three old-fashioned materialized journals among researchers. In recent years, PCCP has published some top articles in the industry, and I hope that PCCP will be better and better.
