I sent emails three times, and the editorial office responded quickly with a very good attitude. The reply stated that it was not the author's reason, and the editorial office was making an adjustment, so it was always in review status. They asked us to keep waiting. It was accepted in early May 2020. It took a total of 11 months before and after. Normally, three or four months should be enough for review and revision. Last year's situation was special for journals, and it should be much better this year.

My recent article went through about eight months of process, including three rounds of external review, and was finally accepted on December 5th. The detailed submission timeline is as follows:

- March 30: Submitted initial draft.
- April 2: Asked to revise due to references not being in alphabetical order, resubmitted on April 3.
- May 6: Manuscript status changed to "with editor", with the first decision expected in 60 days according to the official website.
- June 18: Entered the "Decision in Progress" status, and received first-round revision comments on June 21.
- July 3: Submitted revised version after first round of revisions, including organizing figures and tables into separate Word documents as requested.
- August: Manuscript was sent to the editor again for further review and then sent for a second round of review.
- October 8: Re-entered the "Decision in Progress" status, received second-round revision comments on October 19 (with fewer revisions), and completed revisions on the same day.
- October 21: Manuscript status updated to "with editor", and entered the third review stage on October 28.
