The editor suggested us to transfer it to Nanotechnology. It was in a hurry, so we transferred to Nanotechnology on June 17th, and the first review opinions were received on June 19th (it was actually the opinions given by 2D Materials, one agreed to accept it after a major revision, and one required a major revision without indicating a rejection. I was confused again with the process in 2D Materials); June 25th, we replied to the comments of the first review, without doing any additional experiments, and we were completely arguing! On July 5th, I received the comments of the second review, and one of the reviewers still felt that I did not explain clearly… On July 10th, we continued to argue, and the opinions are basically unchanged; on July 23rd, the editorial office sent a message to notify the acceptance! Received, 16 April 2020; Revised, 21 May 2020; Accepted, 18 June 2020; Accepted manuscript online, 18 June 2020. There were two reviewers, and the comments were very professional. I felt that some questions were tricky, and major revision was required. The main text of the revised manuscript has not revised greatly, and the supplemented experiment data were added to the supplementary materials (16 samples, and large amount of data). In the end, the response letter was written up to 20 pages, and the questions and comments of the experts were answered one by one. What can be changed have been changed, and what can't be changed were given the reasons and cited the references to support it. It seemed that the attitude was very correct. I'm used to looking at the submission experience of the seniors on LetPub before choosing a journal and submitting a manuscript. 2018.10.08 with editor, 2018.10.15 in peer review, 2018.12.18 Moderate Revision (one reviewer, reviewers 6 comments, requiring minor revisions), 2018.12.28 revision submitted (Maybe it’s due to the Christmas holiday, the revised manuscript has not been processed, so it takes a little longer. The first article in the doctoral stage did not expect to be so slow. I submitted it on April 5th, and the official website said the average review speed is 35 days. However, the first review was not completed until August 4th, and it required major revisions. Before this, I sent multiple reminders, but could not find reviewers, which is really hard to understand. The revised manuscript was returned on August 30th, and it was accepted on October 15th. The second review also took me a month and a half, during which I sent reminders as well. The same problem occurred - one of the original reviewers did not submit the report, and a new reviewer had to be found, causing further delay. In total, I sent seven or eight reminders before the article was finally accepted. The speed of this journal is now too slow, which is why it dropped from the second tier to the third tier. I will not submit to this journal again in the future. The whole process has been frustrating, especially as I was waiting for this article to begin my research
