Reviewed 2021-02-21 16:55:28 The journal MINERALS & METALLURGICAL PROCESSING was renamed Mining Metallurgy & Exploration in 2019. It is the flagship journal of the American Society of Mining and Exploration (SME) and is not an open-access journal. The journal was established in 1984 and has a history of over 30 years. Its topics cover a wide range, including blasting, coal, data science, emerging technologies, environmental management, equipment, geology, geomechanics/geotechnics, health and safety, hydrometallurgy, industrial minerals, comminution and flotation, industrial processes, rock/fracture mechanics, mine design/planning, mineral economics/resources, mineral processing, project management/finance, optimization, plant design, reclamation, sensing/geophysics, mineral and metal separation/purification, simulation/modeling, social issues/law/policy, tailings, underground construction and tunnels, ventilation, and water management.
