Reviewed 2024-07-31 17:23:57 The recognized top journal for microscopy is Ultramicroscopy, with many electron microscopy experts contributing. It's a joke to say that Microscopy and Microanalysis (MM) is a top journal if you don't know much about the field. MM has been flooded with research on nanomaterials, leading to high impact factors but lacking in innovation, relegating it to the fourth tier. I have read some articles by foreign researchers on improvements and designs in electron microscopy techniques, and even those without innovation can get published. Recently, I have found that the MRT journal in the field of microscopy is good, with microscopy in the subcategory being in the first tier, and with a high probability of entering the second tier.
