I was rejected a few times before, but I submitted another paper and it went through the initial review in 2 months. After some minor revisions, I received a revised manuscript on November 3rd. It is still under review and the decision is unknown

The editor is very efficient, and the submission is immediately under review on the same day. After three months, two opinions are received, and the editor suggests major revisions. After careful modifications, the paper is directly accepted. Very fast. The editor will carefully review the manuscripts and give them a chance for serious improvement. 

The emphasis is on theoretical derivation. It is just a pity that pure mathematics doesn't fare well, but this year it has already entered JCR Mechanical Engineering Zone 2, so the prospects are still promising. The number of articles in each issue is not many, and it is considered a relatively niche journal in China. Most of the articles in this journal are of acceptable quality.

The editor-in-chief, Steigmann, is an expert in solid mechanics at the University of California, Berkeley. He is very nice and will definitely reply to emails.

Many of the papers published in the journal are high-level articles in the fields of mechanics and mathematics. Several groundbreaking articles by the pioneers in our field have been published in MMS. The quality of the articles is not weaker than top-tier journals in the first zone, and they have high recognition within the industry.

The journal has a low acceptance rate, publishing only seven to eight articles per month, at most ten.

Perhaps the journal is relatively niche and does not receive many submissions. There may be some mediocre papers mixed in, but overall, the articles are good. It has dropped to the fourth zone in recent years, which is truly unfair.
