The journal is very good; the requirements are slightly higher than other journals. The first review took 3 months, and the reviewers gave great comments, very constructive. In the next review the editors felt that there were more grammatical problems and pointed out each one by one. They were modified and returned, and the article was accepted the next day. They quickly posted it on the internet for publication. Overall, the process felt good.

The reviewers are top experts in the industry, and their feedback greatly contributes to improving the quality of the articles. The review process is generally slow, taking around 10 months from submission to acceptance.

Very poor handling of the article to date. Submitted in early Jan '21 and still in review with only a single review being achieved. Handling editor has refused to communicate on the delay, despite several emails enquiring. Close to withdrawing the article now. Poor showing from what should be a respectable, professional journal. Will not be submitting new articles here in a rush. Disappointing, Marine Geology.

It can be considered as a well-established journal in marine geology. However, the speed is extremely slow, which is characteristic of old journals. Moreover, its influence is declining, and it has been downgraded to the third tier. I regret submitting my work to it...
