It is very common in actual research: I completed the experiment, verified the hypothesis, but still need to extend the study, which requires continuing to explore the data to see which direction will yield valuable conclusions. At this point, it is like testing all possible comparisons (even though I cannot actually exhaust all comparisons, all comparisons are potential because there is no specific purpose).
