The first article I published when I was a graduate student was really slow. It was with editor for most of the time. The reviewers were very strict, and we made major revisions for twice. Each time there were about five or six pages of comments. The review lasted for a year, which felt that it was submitted to Remote Sensing of Environment (RSE).

Two articles of mine had been published here. Generally speaking, it was not difficult. They were all accepted after revision, but it was really slow. One took about half a year from submission to acceptance after revision, then it was published in three months, and then retrieved on the Web of Science after about two months. The other one was rather bumpy. It had always been with editor for more than 9 months after submission. After the other one was accepted, we urged the editor and then it was sent for review. However, the review was very fast and the comments returned more than a month later. And then it was accepted after revision. It took about 1 year from submission to acceptance. A third article has been submitted to this journal, but there has been no news yet. I hope that no matter how long it takes, there will be good news for acceptance in the end. Generally speaking, this journal is relatively easy to be accepted, but it is too slow. It mainly depends on what kind of editor it is assigned to. The efficiency is relatively low. If you are anxious to graduate, you should carefully consider submitting. However, the editors and chief editors of the journal are very nice and have a very good attitude. The journal is of a certain level. You can see that the quality of the articles in each issue is relatively reliable. I hope that my submission experience can give you some understanding of this journal.

It took 8 months before the external review began. It was originally innovative; however, the same algorithm has been published, and it seems that the external review has not continued.

The journal impact factor has greatly increased, requiring articles with innovative methods, data, and other aspects. We hope the journal will continue to improve. When I submitted, I received an acceptance email, and upon logging into the system, it also showed an acceptance status. After one week, it changed to "editor invited." Two days later, it became "with editor," and it has remained so until now.
