After five months of waiting for the review, it was already the end of September. There was only one reviewer and the issues were not significant - just some minor problems to fix and resubmit. However, when I submitted the revised version, I found out that the journal has switched to Hindawi. The editor-in-chief told me to resubmit through Hindawi. After I resubmitted, I was quickly rejected by a new editor, who said there was similar research already out there and was very casual about it. First of all, I couldn't find any similar research on PubMed. Secondly, even if there was similar research published later, you should have informed me when I first submitted, not now when I am resubmitting for revisions. It is not fair to reject me solely based on the existence of similar research. Isn't this playing with people? I really want to reply and scold him. This is truly irresponsible
