It took 1 month for the first review, both reviewers gave good reviews, both required minor revisions, and the editor requested a moderate revision. The revision was returned to the two reviewers for a second review, and both reviewers directly accepted it, but it also took 11 days. A total of 1.5 months should be considered relatively fast, but I feel that the editing efficiency is not as fast as when I submitted to ACS journals. The Manuscript Received status usually lasts for a week, and the Awaiting Decision takes four or five days, maybe because this is a Journal. If the editing speed is as fast as the processing speed of the ACS journals, it should be accepted in less than a month.

After APL did not send it for review, I transferred it here. The article is all about calculation and simulation, without experimental verification; 4/12/2018 submitted to journal; 24/12/2018 major revision (due date: 21/01/2019). Two reviewers asked a few questions of medium difficulty. Reviewer 1 thought it was a general article; Reviewer 2 thought it was with good opinion, but experiment was strongly required. There would be a high probability of failure if just to find a similar reference as evidence to support if there is no way to do experiment. During the revision, they would notify me to submit the paper one week earlier. After the comments were addressed, the editorial department returned to the original reviewer but they only said that the topic was not suitable for publication in the journal, that it was more suitable for journals of materials. From submission to initial acceptance took 84 days, with 36 days spent on my own revisions. It could have been faster if I had not procrastinated. The editor was very helpful, with the first submission resulting in one reviewer rejecting it and one accepting it, leading to major revisions. The subsequent two revisions addressed the first reviewer's concerns, with the third revision being necessary due to a small oversight on my part. The third revision could have been avoided if everything had been done correctly in the first place. Overall, if everything had gone smoothly, it could have been accepted in less than two months.
