The fourth reviewer of my paper liked the article very much, directly saying that it is to be published without a problem. I gave a reply in a month. I filled out some forms, provided data, added a description of the method, added a discussion section according to the requirements, and responded to the comments. Just 10 days later, the first reviewer only sent two questions about the supplementary form, no other comments. I replied to the questions and I received notification after three days. My instructor said that the journal's current receiving rate is only about 6%. The reviewer is an expert and asked a lot of very careful questions about the statistics and methodological details.

Experience sharing: Today, when I had nothing to do, I calculated the submission volume and acceptance rate of this journal. Based on the manuscript numbers submitted around the same day in 2013 and 2014, it can be estimated that the annual submission volume is approximately 2700 papers, and PubMed shows that the journal accepts around 450 papers per year, resulting in an acceptance rate of 16.7%. The submission guidelines state: "We aim to make an early decision of suitability for the journal with the result that around 50% of papers are rejected without going out to review following in-house discussion." This means that roughly half of the papers are rejected by the chief editor or editors within a week of submission. Out of the 1350 submissions, only 450 are ultimately accepted, indicating a high rejection rate after submission. If your paper is given a chance for revision, it is important to take it seriously
