This is a good journal in the American Physiology series, with an impact factor close to 5. Less than one month after our initial submission we received the first round of reviews. The review speed was very fast. The editor suggested minor revisions and indicated that after we completed the revisions it would result in direct acceptance (no resubmission or additional review process). Once we returned our edited files to the editor, it took more than two months to hear back…. I thought I would receive a notice within a week or two. Oh well. From submission to publication, it took more than four months. I guess that’s not too bad but not as fast as I originally thought. Compared to most other journals, this journal is good – I recommend submitting.
