First, I randomly submitted to a top magazine, JAMA. Then, after about a week, I was directly rejected (without even being sent for external review). Feeling disheartened, I then submitted to a magazine with a rating of 3.98 (because it was the end of the year and the hospital was pushing for article submissions, so I thought of submitting to a lower-rated one, hoping for an easier acceptance) (but the result was, after about a week, I was immediately rejected by the editorial department, without being sent for external review). Later, I thought that I shouldn't have submitted to a magazine with a rating of around 4, so I switched to AJM, a green magazine. The result was that I completed the submission on Monday night around 11 o'clock, and on Thursday morning at 5:30, I received a notification of "acceptance" (which was directly accepted after the editorial board meeting, without external review). It was actually accepted in less than 3 days.
