To memory the first article in my life as the first author~ Submitted in early March, revision comments received in late April, resubmitted in May, accepted in early July, and then a long technical review started. The format and images were modified over and over again... Their editors didn't do anything... It was required for images to be in an old format called EPS, which I had never heard of before. This article went through hardships and finally published online in early October~ The base of our group is in the United States. The content of the article is not good, and it was rejected by CEBP in a second. I am very happy to be able to publish on AJE! It seems that AJE's IF is also a little higher than CEBP, haha.
